b&a monday....home edition?

Alright guys. Here's the truth.

It's 11 PM and I'm too lazy to get out my external hard drive to do today's normal b&a.

But as I was looking at pictures on my laptop just now... I came across the ones of the kitchen makeover my dad and I did for my brother and sister-in-law while they were on their honeymoon!

So that would be fun to look at... right?

Or am I the only one here obsessed with HGTV? 

... *cricket* ... *cricket* ...

I love how it turned out so much! 

It took my dad and I a week to do (with help from Carrie's brother!). It was really fun, but I was a WRECK with making decisions. My dad had the idea to do it in the first place, but he basically let me decide exactly how it was going to look, and I was dying. I remember having the closest thing I've had to an anxiety attack when we were picking the cabinet color in Lowe's hahaha. It was bad... (really bad...)

When everything was painted, something still didn't feel right. I liked the colors, but I didn't LOVE the overall look. So one night I said, "Dad. I need your wallet and your keys. I'm going to Wal-Mart. You're going to have to trust me." And that's when I bought the flowers and the lemons and the fabric for the curtains... and it made everything WORK!!! I was seriously amazed at how well it clicked after that (and the fact that I made curtains?! Let's just say they're not sewn...) and the huge amount of relief I felt. It was at that moment that I finally fell in love with it and was excited to show it to Lee & Carrie.

Anyway.. that was fun, right?? Sorry for my laziness... summer term started today.. 'nuff said.
